The downsides of wood Wood is affected by all kinds of weather conditions that cause it to discolour, requiring additional care as a result. This involves cleaning and removing moss from the boards, and preventive protection against surface cracks and pests. In addition, various maintenance products are available for combating the ageing of the wood, but results are often lacking which is a source of disappointment and frustration. Finally, wood is unable to provide the same degree of fire-resistance as fibre cement. Cedral does not change colour or shape.

The downsides of wood versu fibre cement weatherboard
