Project description
Park Lanneves housing development, Bodmin
An award-winning housing development in Cornwall used Cedral facades to achieve a smart contemporary finish
When contractors Triple D Construction took on the Park Lanneves development, a particular type of cladding had already been specified for use on the mix of two, three and four bedroomed houses and one bed apartments. With cladding on the upper part of the buildings and stone underneath, the brief was for a contemporary look that would look smart and stylish.
However, there was one potential issue.
“We knew the cladding specified wasn’t very high quality,” explains Daniel Williams, Director at Triple D Construction, who recommended using Cedral cladding instead.
“We had just used Cedral on a previous development, Hays Commons Development in Launceston, and the cost comparison was negligible. We knew how to use it, we knew the Cedral representatives and installers, and we knew it was a good system that we’d never had issues with.”
Also, using certified Cedral installers Westclad to fit the cladding gave the client the warranties they required. Every Cedral facade fitted by a Cedral Select professional installer comes with a 10-year product guarantee – Find out more.
Cedral’s low-maintenance cladding also met the minimal maintenance requirement of the development’s brief. Durable and weather-resistant, Cedral is designed to withstand the elements without regular repainting or treatment, making it a practical and long-lasting alternative to traditional wood cladding.
“Cornwall can have severe weather and there aren’t many low maintenance products for residential properties,” says Daniel. “We used the cladding from just above the ground-floor windows to the top of the building, so there shouldn’t be any need for scaffolding during maintenance periods. You can clean it from below and it should only need minimal attention. That’s why we chose it.”
The development is already a big hit, having recently won the sustainable development of the year award at Insider South West Residential Property Awards 2025. With a strong focus on sustainability, Cedral prides itself on its ethos of building a more durable and sustainable world for all.

“I would absolutely recommend Cedral to other contractors, 100%,” says Daniel. “It’s a good product and an easy product to work with. I’ve installed it myself also, so if you are a solo homeowner with a reasonable knowledge of DIY, you can easily fit it yourself.”
